Workers’ Compensation at
SouthWest Chiropractic
Workers’ compensation injuries are typically injuries of some sort of repetitive nature or an incident that has occurred at the office or work facility. With our care, we have a two-pronged focus:
- We want to get you back to work as soon as possible.
- We want to make sure you’re returning to work with the skills and education to know how to prevent yourself from having these types of injuries occur again.
At SouthWest Chiropractic, we want to make sure that we’re mitigating your risk of further experiencing problems forward after you’re treated and after we’ve gotten your particular ailments under control or have resolved them.
We see all types of different injuries from a factory worker coming in with a tendonitis injury to someone hitting their head on a forklift and sustaining a concussion. Or a firefighter might come in with a torn rotator cuff in the shoulder due to hauling heavy equipment around all the time.
Cleary, workplace accidents can result in a wide variety of types of injuries. Here are some of the most common job-related injuries that we see:
Sprains, strains and tears – These injuries to the muscles, ligaments, and tendons often occur as a result of twisting, stretching, overuse or overexertion.
Soreness or pain – Chronic back pain is a highly common complaint among workers whose jobs require them to sit in an office chair for many hours each day.
Cuts, lacerations and punctures – These injuries can run the gamut in terms of severity, and they can result in physical limitations.
When you come in for your initial appointment, we ask that you bring the following:
- The injury report
- A claim number if you have one
- Your employer’s contact information
- Workers’ compensation insurance information
- The adjuster’s contact information
